Right I've tried to do this 4 or 5 times now and I keep getting the same error message.

After trying to install Service Pack 4, right at the very end i get the following error, on the title bar it says 'SP4iis' and the error is:

    Required dll not found,

There is only an option for 'OK' so i click it then get the following

Setup failed to remove ism.dll script mappings Service Pack setup will abort.

    Any ideas guys ??????????

Just did a quick search of the newsgroups and it seems that others have had simular problems. Suggestions seem to relate to iis (fits with your eror messages) try stopping these services:
    iis
    iisadmin
    w3svc
then install the SP and re-start these services

This happens when SP4 tried to change some of the script mappings in IIS. There's a known bug w/ the installation of SP4 but, you usually get a different error and the install finishes. Don't remember the exact details but... try installing the patch for MS03-026 (KB823980) first.

Glad you got it applied. Just keep in mind...if you later decide you need IIS, you really should reapply SP4 as it fixes quite a few things (and vulnerabilities) in IIS.
