I have been searching everywhere for a comand that can convert text to specific numeric values such as a=1 b=2..... seems like a simple command would do. i guess im just to new to do much other than what ive been shown allready..its for a basic code calculation chart id like to have involving hebrew words and their corresponding numbers....can anyone halp????

i really appreciate your help and am sorry to say that the link leads me to an unavailable web page. I think i could learn a basic enough VB within a few weeks time but the research for my book has been rather demanding as well. thank you
