Hi all, hoping for abit of info, well I pretty much learn about IT for enjoyment tbh,I seem to really like the desktop side of things, rather than getting my hands dirty and replacing components (not to say I can't do it, I just rather not).. What sort of job titles should I be looking at (for future reference)? and what would be the progression route?

    Many thanks

Service Desk, Help Desk, EUC (End User Computing), those kinds of roles really.

It's usually Call Logging -> Desk Visits -> EUC based Projects (could be SCCM, VDI etc)

SimonD hit the roles on the head.
    Pretty much what i do.
My official title is a "Senior EUC Engineer" - i manage the global SCCM estate & VDI Catalogs, global golden image, operating system deployments, application packaging, deployments, security updates etc. also dabble with some serverside and file/print support.

Actually my last post is a bit off. I don't get involved in the user support, our helpdesks and service desks do that, i guess mine is more architecture and engineering than EUC really.
Saying that my firm has got so many bastard departments it's difficult to make out who does what at the best of times.
