Rainbows and anniversaries

    Today I am celebrating the 10-year anniversary of being married to my wonderful wife, Karen. :)

    Before we got married, we had always talked about doing our first child's room in a Noah's Ark theme. Well, after we had planned our wedding date, I read the following verse in the Bible:

    Wow, what a coincidence! :biggrin We thought that was so cool.

    Karen and I married on a bright and sunny Saturday afternoon. After the ceremony, we went to the reception, which was held in her parent's backyard. After we cut the cake, a surprise rain shower passed over, drenching everything for 5 minutes... then left as quickly as it came. Afterwards, a rainbow appeared, which, as most of you probably know, is the sign God sent to Noah after he and his family came out of the ark.

    Now, that's just freaky! :ohmy

    And for the next two years, we saw a rainbow in the sky on our anniversary, the third and last one being a double-rainbow.

    :blink :biggrin

    There's a 20% chance of showers today. I *really* hope I am blessed with another rainbow. If I am... I'm takin' pics this time! :colour

    EDIT: By the way, we DID do Hayden's room in a Noah's Ark theme... I'll post pics later.

    EDIT2: Can only find a few pics of his old room - most of it is on video. Here you can see the rainbow going around the corner - the water waves went all around the room:

    Well there you go. Happy anniversary BM to you and your good lady wife.

    Me and my lady, Yvonne, are celebrating our anniversary tomorrow, 18th July. That will be 22 years of married bliss. No seriously, it has been that many years of a wonderful partnership and 2 fantastic kids. also bare in mind that our actual time as a couple, involved 4 years before that.

    I am an old soppy puss and love mywife and kids very much.

    No rainbows today... the rain never came. Bought Karen some flowers and a card on the way home. :) Kids watched a movie while I napped in the chair... a nice quiet evening. :)

    That's wonderful mate, hope every day could be that good. Laine and my 4th wedding anniversary is coming up on August 3rd, the plan is to summit Mt. Fuji if the sitter is in country. Unfortunately she just had to leave country for emergency leave.
