    Hello.

I'm looking out for a rackmount server, any size/spec considered.
Prefer low spec machines (P3/P4 machines) for running Ubuntu Server and lite distro's.

Also interested in a small comms box or small rack (19u would be ideal)

Let me know what you have.

    Thanks.

I have a number of 2U all the way through to 5U servers at home, as far as server spec's go, they are all HP Proliant servers, mainly the DL 360\DL 370 servers, each with scsi disks (36, 72, 146's, you decide as I have a bunch of these servers sitting in my garage) although I do have a large ML570 as well (big and bloody heavy).

Cost wise.... well that really depends on what you want. They aren't new but they are all working (they came out of an Investment Bank Data Center) and as such ideal for someone needing an introduction to Enterprise level server hardware. Most of them will come with the ILO license, rack mounting kit and required leads.

Now unfortunately they are down south and postage\courier would be prohibitively expensive, however I am up for driving up to Newcastle one weekend if you wanted to cover costs but as it would be approx a 600 mile round trip and probably 12 hours in the car seat don't expect it to £25 for delivery.

If you're interested please let me know and we can discuss this further.

Depending on whats going and whether I could nudge the misses, I may be interested in one or two things.
I live in Darlington so I could also chip in for the old petrol
