I don't know the reason, but forum staff on most other forums won't tell us mere mortals anyway, it is normally between them and the person who slipped up :D

Just aways wondered on forums when someone is banned what stops them for just registering? or are ip address logged? But then again on the forum i used to have many users had the same ip, how would that be (while i think to ask?) lol

Probably because many users used the same proxy that's why they had the same ip and you can ban on ip address or email account.

A user may get banned, and as you say, nothing stops them from immediately re-registering. But if the same IP as the banned user is flagged up, then you can be sure as shite that the new dude will be watched closely .... then, if one slip ... :ohmy :snipersmi

At least, that's what I've heard about this place :D

I think im going to like using this forum you guys are funny lol

Just of of interest then and adding to knownledge, if your doing illegal stuff on the internet how can you be tracked by ip if many people can use the same proxy, or does that only count for forums?

If you're using a proxy, and your proxy gets banned... well, that's the risk you take by using a proxy.
