Sorry - but I'm being picky on this set! :biggrin
    [HIDE]1 ) b
2 ) None of them - it is AT&F. ATZ resets to the NVRAM settings.
3 ) None of them - Floating Point Unit. Or did you mean FRU? Then (a)

Sorry, its meant to be FRU. Have edited.

Harry, I'll come back to you when i submit the answers, cuz i disagree with you on point number 2 btw: this is for A+ and your answers are "probably" right but too indepth for this subject, but thanks Harry...

Now I am at home I've checked MM and ExamCram2 (the two books on A+ that I have).

MM makes no mention of the AT commands. Now I seem to remember that someone mentioned that here recently, so I looked at MM's site. There is a rather rambling file there on them, but no mention of either of the commands we are talking about.

ExamCram2 has a panel of the most popular commands, and the two we are talking about have practicaly identical descriptions to those I gave! Now some here will recall that I haven't been very complimentary of ExamCram in the past, so I was somewhat amused by this.

So I'd be interested to hear of your source for this! :biggrin

That is talking about whether Universal Diagnostic data is reset by the commands. Not really the same thing! <grin>

Look further down that page, where, in a section about Couriers, it makes the distinction between ATZ and AT&F.

:biggrin I'm quite happy to drop the argument!

The question is whether you can persuade CompTIA to say the same? Having said which - I don't remember AT commands in my exams.

mate - it wasn't an argument...

If i can persuade anything from CompTIA, it would be for them to make A+, N+ and Security+ exams nice and easy for me, together with a lurvely discount to keep my bank manager nice and happy...

i have kinda decided that will be the path i take for the fun of it, even if i dont get an *official* IT job, as for me, that is basically what i enjoy doing, networks and security (of course with help and support of CF)... albeit not advanced but hell of a lot more than the average joe..
