Question on ESD

    With AT PSUs you could just leave it plugged in. With ATX PSUs you're supposed to unplug first to be on safe side.

    BTW, I use an ionizer to eliminate static. The air cleaner kind. Just point it at your body and you're almost instantly neutralized. Helps my allergies too. :p

    WOW!I feel educated and and in parts amused by that lot,lol!!!

    For the purpose of the A+ exams you should be comfortable with the use of ESD equipment,know what environmental conditions that encourage static/tribo-electric effect and know the CORRECT procedures for minimising the risks of.

    Whether they are actually implemented by individuals is down to the choice OF THAT INDIVIDUAL.CompTIA will not present you a choice of whether you do or do not use ESD,they will expect you to take ESD precautions and expect you to implement them properly.
