FDISK has been used to partition a disk into 3 volumes. You copy FDISK.EXE and FORMAT.COM onto the D: drive of a working Windows laptop.
You then copy various device drivers and system utilities to the E: drive.
Windows has become corrupt on C: drive and you want to format the drive. You start the system at the command prompt and log into the D: drive to run the format command. This procedure is wrong because it will wipe out the hard drive and all user data.

    A) True

    B) False

[HIDE]A?? Please??? EDIT: I seem to be the only one saying 'A'. If someone could point out why, to my untrained eye, it seems like it'll be wiping the entire drive. It hasn't specified how it'll be formatted. Just that it will be.[/HIDE]

[HIDE]Arroryn, you need to run the format command from whichever directory it resides in. In this case D:\ You would start the system up, change to the D drive and type format C:

Boyce has missed out the *C:* which is a necessary part of the syntax[/HIDE]
