Hi, Im about to book the test centre for the 601 exam from Peasron VUE but have just noticed that from the list of possible exams there is a CompTIA A+ Essentials (2007 Edition) Exam and the (2009) exam

Im confused here as i have been under the impression that i have been studying for the 2006 edition, there isnt a 2006 edition on the list of exams that can be taken

Can anyone shed any light on this

    Cheers

Book the 2007 exams, there was a delay in making the 2006 objectives official.

The 601 underwent a minor revision in 2007 but is essentially (sorry about that, couldn't resist) the same exam.
The 2009 exam listed will be the 701.
Always go by the exam ID number.

EDIT: I assumed the 2007 was a minor revision but it looks like I might be wrong on that after reading the post above.

You book the 600 series, 2007 as stated by Wizard. You have to do the essentials exam then one other which is upto you but most people take 220-602
