Ok, first I don't think english is his first lang by the way he phrases things. If this is so, correct wording in english may be hard for him till he gets more pratice. Second, his sense of humor will be slight different then ours because we are all use to each other and he is neither from the uk or the states. I belive he is trying and just seeking everyone opinion in this field.

Yep why doesn't he, it might as well be chinese because it didn't make any sense to me. If he wasn't an English speaker I could forgive him but he/she/it whatever GOD is says he/she/it is English speaking. :confused3

Actually, he says he's from London. If that's true, then the education system there has failed him.

Unfortunately, I can't see any logical flow to his posts, so they don't make much sense.

Yep probably it has failed him.

One thing I have notice with younger people these days is they do speak in text speak. I know in the US texting on phones isn't as popular as it is here in the UK but its having a bad effect on peoples English.

You'll probably see me making gramatical errors but I was always bad at Writing anyway. At least I'm not as bad as some people I know.

There's one big major difference, GBL... I can understand your flow of thought and logic. I understand the point you attempt to get across. It's organized. It may have some misspelled words or missing punctuation, but on the whole, it's intelligible. Not once have I looked at one of your posts and thought, "Man, this guy really needs to pay attention to his typing/grammar!" You put forth a reasonable effort to write correctly, and it shows. Props, man.

    God,
In order for us to understand, could you let us know a bit more about the course you are doing?
Are you self study, or are you on a formal course?
What book is it that you are reading at the moment?

    (Amen)

Yes, but that does not mean that he was born and raised there. Just means he is there now. I think it is pretty straight foward what he is asking. He wants to know from someone who has done this course if it is worth taking. Does the course get deeper and harder the father you get into it. Is it worth his time or not. Now, anymore questions? If not, how about we stay on topic and try to help him now since he is trying to particapte in a way that is approiate for cf.

He said he was "born and bred" there: link

Okay, fine... but what course? What book? What school? What field of study? It's like he assumes we know what he's talking about.

Yep he said he was born and bred here, unless he was only taught Arabic by his parents then I suppose we can let him off.

To be fair, I don't think where he's from or where he was brought up should be an issue.

With my PC head on, we've accused him of diverting threads, and we've done the same to him here.
He asked about CIW, albeit vaguely, and now we're disputing his background.

Most of us here adopt a username and identity of sorts, but we don't make a habit of hounding people because we don't think they are telling the truth.

God may be posting from Nigeria, but if he wants to tell us he's born and bred in London, well, whatever.

There are parts of London where english is the second language now, anyway.

I'm not saying he isn't a nutter and that his posts aren't complete sh1t, but I think we're being a bit rude.

Since we are in the CIW forums then it must be a CIW course. And since he has just started it, it means that it must be the Foundations. The thing is, he obviously hasn't looked at the work very hard, because even though it is about search engines it goes pretty damn deep into them.

To answer you question god, YES it does get more challenging. A lot more challenging. If you post any SPECIFIC questions you have about the material here, then others who have passed the Foundations (including myself) will be happy to help. This does NOT mean posting questions such as "what do you think about search engines then", or anything that even comes close. :dry

Doesn't help me... still doesn't say what course, what book, or what school he's in... you don't have to take a course to pass those exams. Further, I would have no idea how his course is because I haven't taken his course.

Sorry, Mitzs... I'm all for helping people... you know that. But thus far, he's given us precious little but rambling in order for us to help him.
