    I've been trying to help my old man on the phone witha problem. He's using a remote session manager on his home pc to connect to his work one.
    When he clink the link within his web browers webinterface to connect to the remote desktop he gets the error below

    You have chosen to open

    xxxxxx=xxxx=ica+launch.ica

    from https://extranetxxxxxxx

    What should firefox do with this file?

    Open
    Save

    Now he hasnt tried this with IE yet, but was just wondering what the problems was. Now i know nothing about Citrix, so don't know if he needs any Client software installed to run with firefox, or if it should just run as a remote session within the web browser (this is what i would assume). Can any Citriz specialist suggest anything?

    he has tried teh works IT helpdesk but just get the reply that it works for them, so helpful as always!
    I know that you guys are a lot better at helping so will wait and see whats suggested here.

    Thanks in advance

    My mate uses the same to get into his work pc and gets a similar message (might even be the same) but all he does is select open.

    His firewall is set to allow all this to happen, I assume you dads is too so I can't be much help.

    I forgot to add that is he select open, its asks open it with what? And if he selects Save As it will save teh file but he still cant open it.

    I'm just assuming he need soem Citrix Client to open teh ICA file to allow the remote session, but havent a clue what. And like i said, his helpdesk is no use, not by saying it works for them and thats all.
