Hi all I have a problem with my NEC DVD player. When I insert a new CD/DVD into the drive and click on it it shows the previous disc's content and icon. To get it to see the inserted disc I have to reboot my PC. The drivers are fine and it's been doing it for a few months now. Any ideas on what it could be?

    Cheers in advance

I find this has always been a problem with windows
    with most CD/DVD drives
the interesting bit is if you right click and hit autoplay, it seems to look for the file specified in the previous disks autoplay.inf, generally resulting in an error

    odd indeed
never found a fix for it either sorry :(
let us know what you find out!!

I've been having this problem for quite a while on one of my PCs.
The one with the problem has the CD autoplay function turned off, hence when the disk is inserted, Windows doesn't update. When I hit refresh several times it normally picks up the new disk.
This could be your problem, but if you've got autoplay on...

    Just a thought

    Cheers
