Having ordered my books for self study for the A+ - would anyone have any ideas where to pick up a basic computer to practice on and preferably something that won't break the bank ?????

    Best Wishes to you all

Most towns will have a small independent computer repairs/ supplies shop. I recently enquired at one for a second hand system e.g. about 2 years old running with Windows XP. I was told that would not be a problem and would cost about £60 to £80 depending on specification. Failing that ask around friends and relatives, post Christmas there will be lots of spare machines around.

Having a few probs with emails I could do with blocking : Would you be in a position to advise. Ideally I need to highlight the offending mail but can't find an area to click on in configurations to block future emails from the same sender. No worries if you are unable to help!

    Kind Regards

You really ought to start a new thread with a new topic!

And you also need to tell us which email client you are using.

Since a couple of years ago, they're not supposed to sell electricals to non-trade customers. I know this, because I used to buy old Macs from them. And now I buy from them as a trade customer (Which I am).

    But yeah, £60? That's a bit steep for a recycling centre. :P
