please help!!

    hie folks, got a Toshiba Tecra8100 laptop that is giving me a headache. when l turn it on the screen is blank and it makes some bleeps. lt doent boot all but green lights shows its on and nothing happens. Will it ever work again?? Please help...

    Have/can you tried/try plugging an external monitor into it to see if you can get a display on it?

    or refer to the manual to find out what the beeps mean...

    Make a note of the beep pattern and then look up beep codes on the internet. The codes are dependent on the BIOS your laptop uses so you may have to search a bit.

    yes, have tried an external monitor and nothing is displayed on it. what else should l do.

    :D splendid TRIP, thanx. juss going through the whole procedure hopefully it will come back to life..Its a bit old mayb age is taking its toll (5yrs old)..
