try crop the image so only your face is viewable in the 200x200 box, rather than the whole original image

    Edit:
What Kats issue was he had an image that was 2.4 megapixels, (1817x1362)
His face only took up about one third of the photo
resizing the whole thing to 200x200 means you still have that two thirds of space thats rather irellevant

what I did was use paint.net to crop the image to just his face, followed by a resize to 200x200, this illiminating the wasted space, and making his face that much bigger in the scheme of things (the full 200x200 rather than one third of the full image resized to 200x200)

Paint.net is a powerful and free editor that reminds me of paint shop pro before it got full of wank (ie version 5) and is available free and open source from http://www.eecs.wsu.edu/paint.net/

I have to admit that the gimp is one of the best editing programs I've ever used.

I admit I use the gimp too
but paint.net beats it hands down for speed, and unless your doing real fancy stuff, it works just as well
i've just never found GTK to be THAT fast tbh, its a shame as the gimp is a top program :)

Hey, next time you use my initials get them right. It's GWK, not GTK, and yes, I'm a gimp, but you don't have to be so rude about it. :x
