This article explains preventive computer maintenance relating to the accumulated dust and grime in your computer. Preventive maintenance helps avoid overheating, random crashes, lock-up, and component failure, and can save you money in the long run. Dirty keyboards and mice used by more than one person can easily spread germs between users.

Well, IMHO instructing *users* to open up their computers and do the things that the writer suggests is folly, as it's far more likely they will do more harm than good.

Would you open up your TV and dust the components?

I agree with Bluerinse. Opening a pc box should only be done by someone who knows what they are doing.

(no where can I get a small vacuum cleaner)
