can someone tell me where in london i can walk into a test centre, pay for an exam in cash or cheque and take the thing without messing with booking through america or credit cards. i will buy a pint for anyone who can tell me.

I replied to your post yesterday about this, test centres do not take cash, I have tried this as I don't own a credit card/debit card so I will use my Mothers (this perfectly acceptable).

You are not booking through America, you are booking through the UK sites of Thompson Prometric or Pearson Vue.

They are the only two test centre companies and have many branches around the country.

My nearest test centre is located inside a job centre and there is one I know of inside a college and another in an internet cafe.

You cant pay by cash or cheque, it must be by card.

If you look at http://www.prometric.com/Candidates/default.htm or http://www.pearsonvue.co.uk/home/ you will be able to find your nearest centre and book whatevr exam you want to take.
