At places I have worked in the past I've occasionally rescued Patch panels when Comms rooms have been re-done or moved etc, sometimes with a bit of cable attached to each port.

I'm having a bit of a clear-out so if anyone is interested in them I'll post more details, possibly including photos.

I'm only looking to cover the cost of postage, so I guess unless you are really keen it would have to be UK only.

There are a couple of 16 port panels, a 24 port, and I think a 48 port with about 2 metres of cable hanging off the back of each port.

If nobody wants them in the next couple of weeks I'll look at getting them listed on Ebay. :)

    UPDATE:
I was posting from memory this morning. I have just checked and there are:

2 x 24 Port panels with no cable stubs
1 x 48 port with no cable stubs
1 x 48 port with approx 3 metres of cable off each port (heavy)
1 x 64 port with approx 5 metres of cable off each port (very heavy)

You can. I'll have to weigh them and let you know how much it will cost.

Sometimes I was able to persuade the technicians to leave a length of cable attached to each port, so a couple of the panels have them on still.

The bare ones either have absolutely no cable, or have been cut off almost at the ports and therefore have just enough cable to help figure out the colour schemes.

As far as postage is concerned:

From their website the Royal Mail Standard Parcels prices are £4.41 for up to 2kg or £7.06 for up to 4kg.

The two 24 port panels are both under 2kg when boxed up, so it won't cost a huge amount for either of them. The ones with cables attached or with more ports will weigh a bit more, but still shouldn't be frightening. :)

    These are definitely still available:
1 x 48 port with approx 3 metres of cable off each port (heavy)
1 x 64 port with approx 5 metres of cable off each port (very heavy)

This was spoken for but I'm not sure any longer - am waiting for a response to the last PM:
1 x 48 port with no cable stubs
This one would cost about 7.00 to post by Standard Parcel post, and I would think that the other two would be at least double that given the weight of all the cables hanging off the back of the panels.

I'll give it a couple of days and if there's been no answer you can have the 48 port.

Of course you can have either of the others, but the price is high just for a little curiosity :blink

Can't get it boxed up to weigh it until the end of the week but I would think it would be at least 15.00 to post.
