Just got back from the testing center with a pass of 840. Not fantastic but I'll take it.

I used the Sybex CompTIA Security+ Deluxe Study Guide and CBT Nuggets.

The mix of questions was fair and covered a wide range of topics but as usual with CompTIA exams, the wording tends to be confusing and leads to a lot of head scratching.

Off to the next one. :biggrin

I was about to ask if they had changed the max score from 900, obviously not so well done :D

How fast did you do it? I managed mine in about 18 minutes (thats from walking into the test centre to walking back out of the test centre).

Smartarse. I took my time and had it done in an hour. The funny thing is that I usually get a 30 minute extension to all my exams here due to taking an english language version of the exam in a non english speaking country. Don't really need to use it though (but then again I haven't done the 291 yet).

Careful... passing a test where you take approximately 11 seconds per question can get you flagged as a potential braindumper by CompTIA... regardless of whether you braindumped or not.

Put yourself in their shoes... if you were CompTIA, wouldn't YOU be suspicious?
