    Yay me ;-)

Passed the exam with a score of 865.

Used Todd Lamle study guide (which IMO contains way too much info, which is interesting, but not something you need to know for N+)
    Professor Messer
Test exams (be carefull with those as in a test exam the question might be, what are 2 secure protocols, whereas in the real exam the question might be, which are not secure)

You DO need to know your stuff.

Now to try MCITP. First some relaxing :D

I hope that question isn't from the exam or you've just violated the NDA you just signed.

Out of the 4 choices, MTR is the only one that gives any sort of routing info so that would be the one I would have went for. Still wrong though if it's asking for a routing table.

If you've done the A+ and N+ then I would focus on the MS side of certs - the Win7 client being quite a good option.

    What next?

Well, If you like the network infrastructure stuff then CCNA is the next move. If you want more sys admin then the win7 client or Server 2008 MTA. If you want to push the boat out maybe even virtualisation with VCP or Citrix CCA.

You are at the cross roads!

Pros for CCNA and MTA are that you don't have to study the official course to pass. The disadvantage is that there are a lot more of them about.

Pros for VCP or CCA are that they are rarer, con - have to do official course. Cheapest I have seen VCP was £890. So much bigger financial commitment.

Well done mate. I am studying towards the Network+ exam as well. I have have the Todd Lamle book as well and it feels like there is too much info in it. Do you think the Prof Messer videos are better to use?

I seen on the CompTia site that the exam has changed to N10-005. Is that the exam you will sit now instead of N10-004.

    Congrats Again.
