    Hi all,

Got it done today, 650 which my tutor said was a good score considering no one had got over 700. But what the heck, I passed :)

This relates to this thread from last August http://www.certforums.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=18670

    One happily certified dude.

Congrats mate, a pass is a pass. i know everyone says that, the reason is that you have proved that you understand the topics well enough to pass the exam. That means your level of knowledge is sufficient to be certified with the N+. Knowing more is always good but it's not relevant to the certification.

Okay, details details! Did you find it very diffficult? Was it totally what you expected, or nothing what you expected? What material did you use? Im about to take this myself and im very nervous about it.

Yes it is a difficult one I think as you need to know such a lot for this exam. It was what I expected but I was happy that I took a workshop with my providers because that made things a lot clearer.

My advice to reduce your nervousness would be. Make as many notes (written) as you can, on topics you struggle with. Ask a lot of advice from people on here as they will be willing to advise and help :) And try to get hold of some video tutorials for scenarios specifically DHCP/NetWare and all the other obscure ones :)

I took it once and failed, but after a lot more study and understanding of the material I passed.

Advice for the exam..do the easy questions first and mark for review the ones you need to think about in detail. Use the notepad you are given to draw diagrams from the scenarios you will be given in the questions and take your time. Don't rush as you've got 1.5hrs to complete the exam. Go back over all the questions if you have the time, but don't go madly changing things unless you're absolutely sure they need changing.

Do as many prep tests as you can, but don't overload yourself with the material, and take some breaks from it as I believe some of it needs time to sink in.

And best of all, good luck and don't fret, and if you ever need more specific advice just ask :)

    Hope that helps.

90 questions (5 I think were beta ones). It focused on Apple, Novell, Microsoft, Unix and Linux and all the standards you read about in the books. It's hard to capture absolutely everything in your studies I think, but you can at least try :)

    Good luck for your exam.:biggrin
