    yee ha!

Passed 640-801 on the first go today with a 961. Quite surprised myself actually as I had built it up in my mind as a big big deal.

Used Cisco Press INTRO and ICND books plus Sybex CCNA Lamelle with all the associated material on the CDs. Plus of course a 3 router, one switch lab and a smattering of on the job experience. Took about 4 months from Page 1 to passing, about 110+ study hours.

So don't give up, its very passable! :-D

Not sure what to do now certwise, but a pint or two tonight is a certainty. I always go teetotal about two weeks before the exam plus eat lots of fish for the brain! ;-)

It said at the end of the exam that Cisco insist you wait 180 days before taking a test with the same ID number? Is this true? If so, how harsh is that?

BTW I recommend Pearson VUE highly. The test centres are always quiet, the pens and boards work and apart from one dodgy computer they have been an excellent environment in which to take exams.

Well I can only presume they don't want people sitting the *same* exam over and over to try and memorise the question pool. Can't think what they are trying to prevent can you?
