I was a bit dubious about this Cert, because when I looked at it first it seemed to incorporate far too much American stuff which was either wrong, or dangerous in the UK.

Was your exam tailored for the UK? Or how was this handled?

when you sign up for the exam you can select USA or UK for testing, the UK version has some of the USA elements dropped and remaing elements increased. The exam objectives can be found here. http://certification.comptia.org/resources/objectives/dhtiplus_objectives.pdf
