Yes, That's right, to my surprise I actually Passed 620.

I scored a 746, which is a lot better than I thought I would get.

This isn't a particularly hard exam, but you must make sure that you know the intricate details and configuration options of some of the apps that are included with Vista. My weakest area's were the things that I don't regularly use, things that are not included with the Business Version of Vista (hint, hint).

I only passed this exam because I made sure that I marked items and reviewed them, had I not done so I would most likely have failed, because on reviewing I made some changes to my choices.



To prepare for this exam I used the following:

Windows Vista In a Nutshell - Great for an overview of Vista's features
The Sybex MCTS Vista Client Configuration Study Guide - Covers some material not on the exam, but provides enough information on what is on the exam to allow you to go and learn the features yourself.

A copy of Vista Ultimate (which I didn't activate and am now off to delete)

Congrats. I plan to do the Vista thing first half next month.

 

What's next? Well Cert wise at present I have no definite plans. I narrowly failed 621 at the beginning of July, and never really considered it again, hence me going for 620.

I'm not really that bothered about having the MCITP status at the minute, I just wanted to prove my skills with Vista.

Work wise I'm getting involved with a lot of Cisco Wireless stuff, and I have the feeling that they may be wanting me to head down the CCNA route, so I may look into the CCENT to get me started (I just don't use Cisco kit enough to go for the full CCNA).

Other than that I'm wanting to get more in depth with OS X and Server 2008, so I may just spend time playing and learning rather than actively studying.

 

Yeah, we told Sybex about the "extra material"... we wrote it when we thought there would be one Vista exam instead of two or three. Sybex told us to leave it in. In any case, the "extra material" is useful for 70-621, so you'll eventually end up using it.
