    wahey!

717 (700 needed to pass) so I was verrry close but still, months of hard work and reading finally paid off.

A few links / thoughts for anyone else studying this now and apologies if this has all been posted a hundred times before :)

The exam itself was 40 questions, mainly multiple choice questions with one, two or three right answers. There were some that you had to choose 3 of 5 options and put them in the right order so something like:

Choose 3 of the following and put them in the right order for going to work in the morning:
    A: Go back to bed
    B: Get up
    C: Get breakfast
    D: Phone in sick
E: Get in car and drive to work

    So you would choose B, C, E.
I was given ages to do it (I think its 2hr 30mins or 3hr) so time is certainly not an issue. I was also provided with some paper to right down any notes and workings out I wanted.

For actually studying the exam / learning the objectives I used the official study guide and also the MSDN articles.

    Practice questions:
    http://www.accelerated-ideas.com/practice-exam-70-536.aspx
    http://www.ucertify.com/download/70-536-VB.html
They can either be done online or have free trial versions to be downloaded.

    http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/vcsharp/default.aspx
The portal for MSDN for C# - very useful, well worth reading through each of the main topics to get a better understanding of how it all fits together

    http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Microsoft_Certified_Technology_Specialist/Exam_70-536
This site links all the exam objectives and has discussions / notes on each.

    http://www.dotnetfun.com/articles/certifications/Passing70536Certification.aspx
This site has links to all the MSDN articles for each exam objective

Other than that all I would say is I didnt get too bogged down in learning every sinlge method for every single class in every objective. I would say it is more important to know a) what a class can do and b) why you would use it. The rest will come.

    That's a trick question... everyone knows it's supposed to be B, A, B, E!

(C is optional, and sometimes happens after getting in the car and before getting to work).

    Congrats!

    Congrats!

How long did it take you to prepare?

What prior experience did you have?

    Your story gives me hope.

    Cheers.
