Got a 700 so I just made it.

I used the sybex books for 290 and 291 as my primary sources. I wouldn't recommend that to anyone else. It was to much review information.

Experience does play big part in these exams. Last week I was working on a terminal server and ran into an issue. I researched the issue, made the required change and sent an email to my manager with an explanation and possible impact. One of the questions this morning was on the exact same issue.

Next up is Security+ after I get caught up on my homework for the math class I am taking.

Well done on the pass, I remember that the exam was not an easy one. But it is easier than the 70-296 (MCSE upgrade) :biggrin

    Thanks everyone.

Ken - when did you take the 292? Before or after the revision in 2004?

I took both of those exams last year. Didn't know of any revision, but then again I should be ready for the exam regardless of revision :)

    Congratulations and well done!!

A thing to remember is that the 70-292 and 70-296 exams are due to retire in March 2008....

I am about 1 month away from a free re-sit of 70-296 myself.

    Thanks.

I'm thinking about skipping 296. For my short term goals, since I already have the MCSE on NT 4.0 and 2000, the MCSA: Sec 2003 is more valuable to me right now then the MCSE 2003. Although I may take a wack at 296 on March 31st.
