Passed this 70-272 this morning with a score of 1000! I am so glad. Having become a father a few months ago I was introduced to the wonderful world of juggling studying and being a father, so a score of 1000 is just.. wow, words can't describe how glad I am!

Without divulging anything, the exam covered all the topics mentioned on the Microsoft Learning site, for quite a few things this is your bread-and-butter stuff, but there are a few gotchas, so make sure you study properly:

MCDST Study Guide and more than a decade of experience; the experience is the main factor as there was a couple of gotchas that simply weren't mentioned in the book.

That said, the book was very good value compared to most and definately an easy read and good refresher... Infact, I'd probably go so far as to recommend it to someone if they were getting back in to IT support after taking a break, or if they had been working on a help desk for a few years and wanted to get an edge over their colleagues.

Similar story to me, I just passed the 070-271 this morning.

Out of interest did you decide to get certified because the HR goons are binning CV's without certs? That was my reason, experience and expertise count for nothing if you cant get your CV in front of the right people.

Congrats mate. I passed 70-272 a couple of months ago and scored 871 n was quite amazed for me it was gr8 to have passed with that score, MCDST now!!
