    Hi all,

I passed my 70-271 exam on Friday, after a few months of studying, I should have passed this exam sooner, but with being busy in work, I put the studying on hold, im hoping to pass 70-272 by the end of April.

If I do pass and get become a MCDST, does that automatcally make me a MCP?

I found the self paced studying online (Microsoft) worked well, combinging with the Microsoft books too, for when I didn't have internet access.

    Congrats on the pass :)

Mate, if you've already passed the 70-271, you're already a MCP. If you pass the 70-272 (in conjunction with the 70-271) you'll gain the MCDST cred.

I used Microsoft Elearning, I found it difficult to motivate myself to study, but now I have passed the first exam, I want to continue studying and pass the next exam ASAP. I won't rush it though.

I find it best to set time with a coworker that works best for both and we meet somewhere and dedicate that time to studying. Sometimes we are studying for different certs, but we are relying on each other to be there to study. It helps me to stay on course and we sometimes get a little competitive with who took the cert first or who scored the best (all in good fun of course - don't get too serious or you defeat the purpose).:biggrin
