I passed 70-270 today, only just though with a score of 747:rolleyes:

BE WARNED Dont underestimate the exam folks!, the questions did not seem very "widespread" although i dont think it helped that i started learning the 70-270 with some mickey mouse books! But hey i passed:biggrin

I am on the road to my MCSE, but which exam should i study for next? and should i stick with sybex books, or get an MS press book also?

I agree with Johnd76, the MS Press books are very good. I also like Mark Minassi's "Mastering Server 2003" book, although it is 12,000,000 pages, there is GREAT information in there to suppliment your studying. I think the next logical step would be for the 70-290 exam.

    Good luck, and congrats!

    Congratulations on your pass!

In relation to what you want to do next, if your gunning toward MCSA/MCSE, 70-290 is the most appropriate step.

I would recommend the MS Press Book and also CBT Nuggets which can be found here http://www.cbtnuggets.com/

Cool, thanks for the advice guys:)

I am looking at the server 2003 books on amazon at the moment, going to give the sybex one a miss this time, seems to be a minefield of 2003 MS books which one should i go for?

Although not really into great depth, i may supplement it with Master Visually Windows Server 2003, as my boss has this book and i was impressed with the walkthroughs, diagrams ect.

I've got bothof the books you've linked to, and they are both excellent books. :D

Indeed, the Master Visually book is written by none other than our own Tripwire 45. 8)

    Happy reading!

    For the 70-290.

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/MCSA-MCSE-S...=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1216494629&sr=1-1

Or if you want to buy the books all in one go for the MCSE.

Even though Server 2008 is out I would still go for the MCSE, great cert to have on your CV and you can upgrade to 2008 after if you want. 8)
