Hello all, not been on this forum for ages, long story!
Booked my 70-270 way back in July last year, but taken me this long to get round to sitting it, i have a short attention span for studying unfortunately!!

Well I scored 852, which is a pretty good mark for me...a few questions i found quite tough, such as RIS and Internet Security, but the MS Press Book came in right handy and im glad to have it out the way.

I'm working towards my MCSA, plan to give myself 3 months for study, then do my 70-290 all being well...have my first baby due in August so dont think I will have much time for studies after that!!

I'm just doing the 70-272 to get my MCDST then its on to the 270 also !!

Like i said, took me long enough to sit it, but that was just down to a severe case of lazyitis!

Good luck with the 70-272, you will cruise it...read the ms press book on it, if you dont have it already, do the test quetions on the CD, use transcenders and you will do just fine.

The content in the 70-270 is a wee bit more indepth, but its generally crosses over the 70-271 & 272 exams.

I've just finished the MS Press book and am just starting the Transcenders and Readiness Review questions- averaging about 80% on the Transcenders at the mo, couple of weeks and i think i'll feel ready, couple of things i need to brush up on.

I'm planning to start working towards my 70-290, I have the MS Press book, and I have some transcenders, would you recommend setting up virtual machine and installing 2003 server and playing around with it?
I would love to do the training courses for it, but theres just no way my boss will pay for the training, so it looks like home study for me, i do work a little with server 2003 in my present job, but im very apprehensive about trying to get to grips with and making sure that i cover the main points before getting anywhere near the test centre!
