    haha know what you mean
but theres some cool stuff with 10.5, Time Machine, iSCSI initiator, some cool new desktop features, enhancements to existing apps, as well as Spaces (Virtual Desktops, ala Linux), Full Boot camp, etc

    deffo worth the money

    on a side note
Kingston are telling me that my Macbook will support 4GB now they have released the 2GB SODIMMS, even though the apple site says 2GB, so I may be getting a phat upgrade to 4GB ram :)

How is it? Worth upgrading? Does it still ship with Apache?

Also, which MacBook are you using? Quite fancy 4GB in my Black 2GHz if possible..

Yet again that's exactly the crap MS get that's undeserved

It's a conflict with THIRD PARTY software!! Whilst every effort is taken to minimize these conflicts with big name third parties, they will always exist

one of the core reasons for windows systems crashing is crap drivers (vendor) or a misbehaving application

Apple/MS/whatever can't be expected to write something that is guaranteed to work with every bit of software ever written for it

I AM however generally amused that these things don't present themselves more prevalently in beta tests
perhaps because beta tests are still so restrictive and have such limited participation (especially Apple betas), the same happened with Vistas release (which had hundreds of thousands of beta testers)

    Go figure! :)

But I was in London anyway ... and it would have been silly not to pop round and see how long the queue was.

Admittedly I was around the 500 mark at 5.30 and I had mine in my hand (with free t-shirts) and out of the store looking for a bus by 6.20 ... and that was including being nabbed by a film crew for a new tech channel on iTunes too.

Even my wife didn't mind the waiting around.
