Howdy, I read somewhere that turning off the page file is a bad idea as some applications expect to find and use it by default and then hang around looking for it.
Btw, if your pf is only 1.5 x physical ram what happens if you only have 256mb? This is an old piece of advice from the small hdd days , surely?
If you have low physical ram get a big page file, if you have truckloads of ram get a small pf. q.e.d.
