    Howdy, I read somewhere that turning off the page file is a bad idea as some applications expect to find and use it by default and then hang around looking for it.
    Btw, if your pf is only 1.5 x physical ram what happens if you only have 256mb? This is an old piece of advice from the small hdd days , surely?
    If you have low physical ram get a big page file, if you have truckloads of ram get a small pf. q.e.d. :)
    I am prepared to be spanked by all you gurus if I'm wrong![virtually spanked , that is.] :biggrin

    :oops: I didn't check the rest of the thread, I thought I was posting this at the bottom of page one. I guess you can all queue up to spank me now! :ohmy :cry: :biggrin
