OS Books

    Hi, can anyone recommend any OS books that will be useful for the OS exam.

    The same one for the Core exam.. they usually come as one book... there are two options : Groth and Meyers

    Alot of people use the second one.. but i like to have 2 sources of info so i used both!

    PS: 2nd one is better!

    You would benefit from a PC with 98 and 2000 on too... I assume you use an XP machine day to day?

    Thats good then, i dont really need an OS specific tome, just my A+ books. I do have acsess to a win 98 PC, but not 2000. Would it be wise to dual boot with my XP machine?

    Personally I prefer Windows 2000 to the much hyped and bloated XP. You can dual boot between the two but I think you may have to install W2K first and then XP, as it is marginally the latest OS.

    Agreed. IMO, it's the last good OS MS put out.... But then I'm not known for my strong opinions on anything. :twisted:
