Need to get your opinion about how you guys prefer to see text formatted. Here are three sample explanations, formatted the following ways:

    • Paragraphs not indented, no space between paragraphs (Not Indented, No Space)
    • Paragraphs indented, no space between paragraphs (Indented, No Space)
    • Paragraphs not indented, space between paragraphs (Not Indented, Space)
    • Paragraphs indented, space between paragraphs (Indented, Space)

4 followed by 3 for ease of reading. 1 makes me go blind followed by 2.

Three and four are no different for me. As long as there is the blank space between paragraphs, it's all good for me. At one time I really preferred that paragraphs begin with the first word indented, but not anymore.

That being said, I find your choice of typeset hard to read online. The printed paper page will look different, but in this format, I really don't like it. It creates a lot of eyestrain for me.

In school I was taught 4, but for ease of actually writing/typing I use 3.

I was taught 3 personally, and its how I write. 4 makes no odds to me, and I can read 2 perfectly well (Its what most published books (especially fiction) tend to use).

Why is it everyone is saying 4, but 3 is the clear winner so far, with 60% of the vote? :blink

    3 just LOOKS better
whats that crap with an indented first word? thats just annoying lol

4 is still easier to read than 1 or 2 though, they both suck more!

I was always taught either 2 or 3 at school. Can rember being told either indent the paragraph or start on a new line with a space under the previous paragraph. 3 tends to be the way i right if i even remeber to use paragraphs though (I'm a very messy writer both with grammer and actual handwriting... must be my chaotic mind!)

Although I was taught 4 at school, I see option 3 applied much more in a professional environment. Hence, I have gone for 3 :)
