Operating system transfer?

I bought a laptop for cheep its a Toshiba satellite L35-S2366 model.
I had vista but because it ran slow i duel booted with xp and Ubuntu. I got all the drivers working for xp and most for Ubuntu.
Not to long ago i erased the wrong driver on my wireless for xp, though in Ubuntu it was still there.
Now when i went back into Ubuntu i noticed for the first time that there were no speaker drivers.
I went to Toshiba and looked for the driver and i picked up the vista driver. Problem is this is the first time i used Ubuntu and 'im having trouble if i have the right one, and i haven't a clue how to install it.
any tips where i can find the driver for Ubuntu and how i get around to install it?
any help would be loved.
