I know that there aren't many active members who have completed OU study.

If you have a problem or question with regards to your course material and helping you along with that, you may be better off posting in the programming and scripting area?

I did start a Java course with OU in 2003. I was unprepared at the time, fell behind and later quit.

I didn't like the course, unlike the MCDST course I'm studying online today. Maybe the OU has updated their online ways of teaching such a 'techie' subject and it's better today than it was before?

Apart from that, I highly recommend the OU; it's a great way to learn.

My advise for you is to keep ahead with your assignments and reading and keep on good terms with your OU online tutor (you never know when he/she help with resources/deadlines).

Do you have a more specific question on the class or on Java in mind ?
