I am setting up a lab server today built out of old parts and pieces I've had lying around. I was in the process of installing gcc, g++, and their dependencies so I could compile some stuff from source and I ran across the name of library file that could only happen in open source.

The library file's name? libmudflap0. I just cracked up when I saw it so I had to find out what the library's task is. The GCC uses it for instrumenting pointer and array dereferencing operations.

    Turns out it's a well-named library.... :biggrin
