Hi Guys

I've just received an old Pc to work on, its a Time 500M08GB3 running windows xp and I was wondering if anybody knows how to restore to factory settings..Ive tried all the usual keys F10,F11,F12 and so on but nothing happens so I don't know if you have to boot it from a cd or not any help would be gratefully recieved

Use Disk Management in admin tools to see if you have a hidden recovery partition. If you dont it will have to be reloaded via cd.

 

Why do you want to restore it to factory settings?

You might be giving yourself an unnecessary headache.

I would just create a new user account, and uninstall any applications you wont use, and use Ccleaner to delete a lot of the rubbish that has built up over the years.
