After the kind reception I've gotten I feel I owe you people some sort of apology for my behavior this last year.....

I'm not making excuses, just saying what was going on.

I had started a job, been promised the moon, and was lied to each step of the way. I was only hired to be a pawn in a legal battle between some developers and the business owner. It was a bad situation as both sides ended up trying to use me. All it did for me was to make me look bad as the job only lasted for 2 months and then I was fired.

Add to that stress the fact that my wife's boss was embezzling company funds, and giving my wife a very hard time(she is the bookkeeper and office manager at her place of employment), and stress levels were pretty high around our house. I was pretty mad at all times as with my disabilities I now have no way to physically work off my stress like I have all the rest of my life. On top of that I was suffering from migraines probably 3 days a week and felt so lousy physically that I felt like I was dying.

Well, back in March of this year I finally found a free clinic here where I could get treated and get prescriptions for $5 each. It turned out I have diabetes, my blood sugar was over 300, and my blood pressure was in the 240-260/150-160 range. On top of that I hadn't had more than 4.5-5 hours of sleep a night for more than 5 years, and I'm someone who just doesn't function well with less than 8 hours of sleep a night. I was suffering from extreme sleep deprivation from chronic lack of sleep. The combination of all this made me a person who was extremely irritable, and unable to think clearly and logically.

Don't get me wrong. I still think MS's business practices suck, and I'm a confirmed open source advocate. I love the openness and the freedom that Linux provides, and how it opens doors to the poor man and allows him to compete on a level that he wouldn't be able to if Linux, and open source, didn't exist. I just won't get in your face and be an ass about it as I'm back to feeling like a human being again....

So, thanks for your kindness and being forgiving. I appreciate it.

    Thanks, Tyler.

It's no wonder I felt like I was dying, I am literally lucky to be alive and to not have become a mental midget from having a major stroke.

I dont know what you may have done back then as I only joined in March this year, but I think people will understand due to your high blood pressure and blood sugar levels (my brother is diabetic so I know what its like when the sugar levels get high)

Hope everything is going ok for you now, hope your on here more often.

    welcome back !
I think a smart man is the one able to choice the best solution time after time.
Linux and MS are quite different, you can't do a MS job with Linux,
and you can't do a Linux job with MS$.
Well, at the end if you look at my name you should know my inclination.
    Have a nice day

Glad to see you are back, Freddy. You mentioned your diagnosis but not your treatment, but I can only assume that you are being treated and are feeling a whole lot better now. I hope the stress is off your wife, too and that things are better at home in general.

As far as the welcome you've received here, I haven't been on a discussion board that you and I have in common where you haven't been well liked and well respected. Of course everyone is glad to see you're posting here again, my friend.

And your views on Microsoft's marketing practices aren't pathology. If they were, every FOSS supporter would be sick.

Hey freddy, I'm glad you are feeling better and that really suxs about the job. I would have put a new passwords on everything before I left. Yes, I know, I am evil. Anyway glad you are back and feeling better but I was wondering if you start freaking out on MS again. Does this mean I can get you down and give you a shot in the arse? :ohmy  :biggrin
