Does anybody know where to buy the Official Comptia books in the UK?

The online store appears to only ship to US&Canada.

    Thanks8)

Not sure what you mean by official compTIA books.

If youre going to study the A+ then get the CompTIA A+ all in one exam guide 6th edition by Mike Myers.

Another book to get for the A+ is PC Technician Street Smarts by James Pyles.

Then there Mike Myers book for the N+ but I am not studying that so I don't know what its called.

    BTW Welcome to CF :D

I remember seeing the CompTIA 'official' books online when I was doing A+.

However 1) CompTIA was only shipping to N. America.
    2) They didn't seem to have good reviews and
    3) the opinion here was to get the Mike Meyers book.

I'd suggest getting the MM book - it is one of the best around.

Edit: Why do you want them? I've just noticed that you *have* A+ (according to your profile).

He's likely looking for Convergence+ books (of which there aren't any available, as far as I know) and Linux+ books (of which I'm not sure which of the big-name publishers I'd recommend).

I assumed that this was what was being refered to.

As you see - USA and Canada only.

And the posting is in the A+ forum.

    Perhaps the OP could clarify?

Too right. Does leave some confusion, considering the forum he posted in, and his certifications he's already gained.

Good find, Harry. I've never heard of those books. I wonder if anyone uses them?

    Apologies for confusion.

Your correct I'm after the Convergence+ book.
Unfortunately there is no generic Comptia board- I figured I'd post in the A+ forum as its the most popular cert.

Any who- looks like I'll just have to wait for sybex to write one instead. :thumbleft

Sybex doesn't have one but Course Technology published such a text in April of 2006:
