Somebody I know Said I can have (for free) her imac if it would be of any use to me.

In January 06 I'm going back to college to study cisco semesters 1 -4. ( which I know little about at the mo  )

I understand a good way of practicing what you/ I'm gonna be learning is with Virtual routers/switches/hubs etc etc.

purchasing the software won't be a problem.

Will the iMac be any good for this or will it end up being a dust gatherer

Are you talking about switch and router sims? Not sure I understand your question. What software are you referring to?
