That would be Mike Lavericks book then :), if you ordered the paper version bring it to the VMUG as I am sure he would be more than happy to sign it for you :)

Oh and if you're going I will see you there (sans book as I will probably Kindle it).

yes you can get the kindle version now. print version is lagging behind a bit.

Its a shame that kindle books and ebooks in general never seemed to have lived up to their potential, Initially books through web fronts like the kindle store were saying that the ebooks could be synced and any eretta (spellz) could be updated automatically to all devices, so as people found typo's etc it could download the corrected versions. kinda disappointing that it never happened.

As it happens I got an update to a Kindle e-book last week, I got an email from Amazon that I had to reply to, then the update happened when I sync'd my device.

I'm hoping to make the VMUG too :-)

I bought the pre-release at VMWorld - there's a voucher inside for a free e-book when it's RTM (haven't redeemed it yet). To be honest, the book is OK, but there is a LOT of useless crap in there (for instance, most people would be running a single storage platform, but the book goes into depth about multiple storage vendors (I think there are about five chapters dedicated to specific vendors near the beginning) so there's about 80 pages of info that will be useless to most people This would be espcially galling if your vendor happens not to be covered, I would think :)

Other than that, it's pretty well written and (as you'd expect from Mike) very good technically.

I'm implementing VMware SRM 5.0 in a couple of months, so just ordered the book.

    Thanks again Dale.
