Unfortunately i cant give any tips on this as im am currently going for the Green badge... As you know this Red badge is the Manager's cert for ITIL and will be alot more intensive than the Blue Badge exam...

I dont think anyone here has the Red Badge, a few already have the Green Badge...

The ITIL Foundation Certificate - Green Badge
The ITIL Practitioners Certificate - Blue Badge
The ITIL Managers Certificate - Red Badge

edit: just like a colouring scheme here...
no colour = normal member (non ITIL person)
Green colour = Premuim member (foundation level)
Blue colour = Staff member (practitioner level)
Red colour = Moderator (Managers)

The green one was bad enough - I'm not sure I could sit through the week-long course needed for the red one. In fact - I'm DAMN sure I couldn't do it (not and retain my sanity anyway).

Kudos to you for sitting it - let us know how it was when you've finished

Sorry for late reply but thanks for the warm welcome everyone.

I am currently studying for this Red Badge which i am due to take in 4 weeks time. I'm no expert yet but i can certainly point people in the direction now if they have an interest in the qualification in terms of books to read, concepts to grasp etc...

however if anybody has any idea or has friends that have any ideas... i would really like to find out about the exam, it seems to be a very cagey issue and people aren't that keen to pass on advice.. like they've signed some kind of official secrets Act.

Don't know why that is because when i pass i'm telling anybody who wants to know.

 

Hmm.. not sure about ITIL but with the vast majority of certs, ie Microsoft, Cisco etc before taking the exam you are required to electronically sign an official NDA (non disclosure agreement). This is to protect the integrity of the certification and to stop people blabbing the answers all over the Internet.

Please never quote actual content from any copyrighted material or exam on this forum - it's totally against the forum rules and it's morally and ethically wrong too.

 

Hi mate, i didn't mean literally that. What i meant was i would be happy to furnish people on the style and how to go about the exam. The exam never uses the same case study twice plus the fact that it is 2 three hour written exams means that I would need to be an absolute genius to remember and post everything on this forum... so no fear Bluerinse i'm morally intact and here to stay !!

 

BTW Bluerinse I am also a Pink Floyd fan... Shine on you crazy diamond !!
