Ive just recently joined and wanted to say a quick hi to everyone!
Im currently working for a sme doing a blend of domestic work ( fixing odd machines/server rebuilds ) and updating the work site. ( My boss is teaching me how to use Zen-cart and php )

I enrolled on the A+ and finished it now. About to book my exam this week!

After that im hoping to take some microsoft courses, My boss has briefly explained them to me!

I'm currently living and working in southport (Merseyside). Ive called the local colleges and none of them do any microsoft courses but the simple ones Ie The Microsoft Suite ( office/Excel etc )

So im kinda stuck on what to do next so I can progress and hopefully get my MCSA+MSCE etc.

    Welcome!

Many people recommend self study. I've done both self study and course work, and both relied solely on my willingness to put in the effort. Thus, if you can't get into a course, there's still the option of grabbing some books and some spare computers and following the labs in the books.

Greetings, Damon. Welcome to CertForums. You say you've booked "the exam" for the A+ but as I'm sure you know, there are actually 2 exams. Are you sitting both on the same day?

I also agree with Josh that you can at least begin the path towards your MCSA/MCSE by self study. I say "at least begin" because in addition to study, you'll need to gain some hands on experience managing Microsoft servers and infrastructure. The most reasonable place to start is with either the 70-270 exam Installing, Configuring, and Administering Microsoft Windows XP Professional or the 70-620 exam Windows Vista, Configuring.

Pass your A+ exams first and then start exploring the next rung on the ladder. Good luck. :)

    Welcome!

I'm a big advocate of self study. I have yet to take a structured course for any of my certifications. You can do the same! :)
