Just wanted to share the good news! Passed with an 816/1000(?) with an hour to spare. Didn't do so hot in the install and desktop and user environment portions, but everything else I did beautifully in. True to the common belief, the actual exam was leagues easier than the readiness suite. I was surprised that everything was laid out so nicely, to be honest. I did get asked a question regarding <edit - Sparky>, but this surprised me because it isn't really covered that much in the ms press second edition due to sp2 incuding the <edit - Sparky>. Have any of you had questions like this one, feeling out of place? Anyway, even with that it still went fine.

Now on to 70-272! Reading other people's experiences definitely made this much easier for me. On top of the pass I got a call 15 minutes later telling me that I have an interview tomorrow for a six month contract. This should hold me over until Sept, when I'll hopefully have my australian residency taken care of. Anyway, thanks for reading my blurb. I had to gloat to someone! haha... Hasta luego!

Thanks guys. As for the bug, this has definitely boosted my confidence on self studying for certs. After studying for this one I have a better idea of how to study for the exam. The My plan is to finish off my MCDST and use that towards an MCSA or upgrade it straight away to an MCITP: Windows 7. Still haven't decided, TBH. Anyway, just happy to have this done!

Well done on the pass mate. Just as a word of caution though (and I did this myself when I passed the 291) you may want to edit your post and remove references to questions you may have had. First thing you do when you sit the test is agree to an NDA not to give out any info on the test. It may seem over the top, but you never know who browses internet forums ...

I was aware of the NDA, but I figured that there wouldn't be harm considering that it was like me saying that I got asked a question about domain controllers on the 70-290, ya know? Anyway, I do see where you're coming from, but I don't see an edit option for that post available to me. If a moderater would mind Xing out the word, I'd be most appreciative! Thanks again for the kinds words, folks. This felt good and definitely made me hungry for more MS certs. I'm even taking up polish again for when we visit Poland (me and my fiance). You guys are great!
