Don't count out self-study or contacting your local colleges if they do professional quals as both routes are normally cheaper than private training companies.

you will see a lot of people are pro self study and anti training providers :) I myself have done both (more recently training provider) and have to say i think its more benificial to learn things the self taught method. By all means use a training provider to refresh your skills before examinations, however bear in mind its a hell of a cost for some revision :)

    Hi welcome :)

Believe me I was going to go through a training provider for my A+ studies, but I didn't after good advice from people on here.

I feel I have learned more by studying the subject myself and I know I have saved myself a lot of money.

Most training providers will take thousands from you. You don't need that.

    Welcome to CF 8)

I have heard way too many tales of woe over the years from people that have taken the training provider route.

I have never heard a single tale of woe from people that self study.
