...to throw stuff at a penguin with a shield ???

 

It's actually Linux defending itself against the missiles and bombs (ie worms and viruses and microsoft) being aimed at it.

 

the penguin has always been under constant attack, good thing it decided to pick up a shield
not that it needed it, the attackers cant aim that well at linux ;)

 

Best example of this has GOT to be a few years back, when RAF Tornado jets were done for low-flying over Antarctica, causing entire penguin colonies to fall over backwards as they looked up at the sudden loud noise overheard...man, I thought that was priceless.

 

If they'd had shields then, they wouldn'tve fallen over.

 

Is that true? Nearly fell of my chair laughing at the thought of it.

 

Oh aye - dead true, Si - BBC had footage of it and everything. It was superb !!!!
