    Hey guys/gals

I would like to do a good review on networking again. I was wondering what would be a good book to use. I have the Mike Meyers all in one book or should I get the David Groth book instead? Reason I am asking is because I know the book by David Groth is good but because I already have the basic knowledge in networking should I just stick to the Mike Meyers book? To be honest I kind of find it too basic, but I know there some things that I was reading that I didn't know before.

My goal is basically make a transition at work from Desktop support/junior system admin to network assistant with in the next year or so. I've been gradually learning a few things here and there but not enough to really feel comfortable in networking like I feel in desktop support. (I guess that will come with experience also.)

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you already have the MM book then the Groth book is a good addition.

While it ostensibly covers the same ground there are in fact quite a few areas in one and not the other.

And it is good to get a different 'take' on a subject.

You will find Groth far less 'chatty' than MM.

I really liked the groth book when I did it. But then again, this was 7 yrs ago.

I guess what I'll start doing is, start with the MM book and later on get the Groth book. From the reviews that book is getting it looks pretty good.

    Thanks again:D
