    [HIDE]Media Access Control (MAC) & Logical Link Control (LLC) fall under the Data Link layer of the OSI Model ... me thinks so I go with
    C) Data Link

    The Correct Answer was of course C) The Datalink Layer.

    Thanks to WagnerK for a great explanation, which I will now reveal un unhidden format for those who didn't answer.
